June 25, 201016 yr Hum..... Well good for him not sure that makes sense for the Rockets but oh well. Chuck Hayes is one of the best values in the NBA and I'm about least pro-Chuck Hayes UK fan of all-time. He's a scrappy big that can guard the post and you get him for peanuts. There is no reason not to pick up his option IMO. What are the negatives?

June 25, 201016 yr Hoping Born Ready can fall to the Lakers somewhere down the board. Hearing he is likely to go at the 41 spot...
June 25, 201016 yr Call me crazy but landing in Orlando is about the best thing that could have happened to Orton. Let's face it, he's no where near being ready to play heavy minutes in the league. Now he gets tutored by one of the best coaches in the NBA (IMO at least) and gets to pracice and learn against the best big man in the league every day in Howard. Maybe he won't ever be a major player in Orlando, but I think he's going to be a better player because of his time there.
June 25, 201016 yr He is the same guy as Patterson that's why. Nothing against his game but you don't need 2 guys like that. No way man, I don't see that at all. I think Patterson would get dominated by NBA Centers and Hayes actually holds his own at 6'6". And on the offensive end Patterson is Kareem or Olajuwon compared to Hayes. Outside of the fact that they are undersized PF's from UK I don't see any similarities. JMO. :thumb:

Patterson is more athletic and has more range than Hayes but they are both similar players IMO.

How many guys can you get in the NBA that you can bring in off the bench and won't get absolutely dominated defensively by guys like Gasol or Bynum for 2.3 million? Who could they possibly get that could replace him at that kind of price?
June 25, 201016 yr Author He is the same guy as Patterson that's why. Nothing against his game but you don't need 2 guys like that. You do when Yao is injury prone.
June 25, 201016 yr Whiteside is very raw, but can play. He'll make a solid role player in the league. Needs to gain weight and strength to be a top tier player. Watched him several times this season in person. He is very athletic.
