Miller seems pretty good. The offense OSU runs with him will decide his success though I think, much like Pryor.

 

Is Pryor overrated? I don't see how, no one thinks he can pass. Tress just needs to run stuff that will allow him to make plays and I think they will.

He's good but not all world like John Anthony thinks.

Moeller was pretty aggressive on defense, they gambled by applying tons of pressure, and they did a very good job. Skove was a monster, five TDs on national TV, not too shabby.

PS> Clyde- Pryor is a special player and I think you will see that this year as Tressel has hopefully loosend the reins and lets him play. You don't see 6"6" players with his kind of speed, athleticism and arm strength very often. If his reads and decision making improve, he will have a monster year.

Unless you have the power to see into the future, you have to use the word "if" in projecting the stats and performances of players and teams. There are so many varialbles that can effect the outcome of a season. I think the coaches that have to devise a game plan to stop Pryor might have a different opinion of him. He does not have to pass for 300 yards a game in Tressel's offense in order to be successful. The guy is 6'6" and weighs 233lbs. He has been timed in the 4.3 range in the 40 and has a very strong arm. You are entitled to your opinion and it is up to Pryor to change your opinion and others like yours that think he can't throw the ball. I have watched him in every game he has played at Ohio State and I see the ability to throw the ball. I also watch him run away from defensive ends and linebackers like they are standing still.

I concur. And maybe he will take off this season, but I have not seen much or enough consistency to make me believe he will. When it comes down to it, Pryor had a good (not great) Rose Bowl against Oregon and all of a sudden he is elevated to top player in NCAA status. tOSU will be favored in every game this season, so his Heisman status will be tied a lot more to his team's success than what he does.

Like I said it is up to Pryor to change everyones opinion. His main problem the last two years has been the little guy in the sweater vest on the sideline. Pryor has had a very limited playbook but in listening to Coach Tressel this year, that is about to change.

 

This thread is turning into a Pryor bashing thread when it should be about OSU's future quaterback. I will have to let Pryor's play on th field do the talking, whether good or bad. I think Braxton's team plays on ESPN a few more times this year. Hopefully they will let him throw the ball a little more so people don't get the perception they have with Pryor that he can't throw the ball.

He's no Hartline . We will see about him when he's finished with his career at OSU.

Pryor and the Heisman is laughable? If OSU can get to the title game I would think Pryor will have a huge say in who gets the Heisman. I would hate to write off a guy after his true Sophomore year. You don't have to be a complete QB to dominate college football. Vince Young was far from it, Tommie Frazier and Eric Crouch were far from it. Heck to a lesser extent Tim Tebow wasn't a complete QB.

People forget he is finally a JR this year. He had to learn on the job and most wrote him off. I think he will do well.
