Al and Tipper Gore to Separate

It is such a joy to see all of you good Christian, family values types take such joy in the breakup of a 40 year marriage. You are an inspiration to us all.

Agreed. Divorces are not funny, and this is not South Park.

Oh for crying out loud.

I don't think anyone on here is joyful about the divorce, just making a few jokes about it. Over half marriages end with divorce and I guess people have become a bit de-sensitised. Al Gore has made a killing off the global warming debate and some of his other projects that I believe is a myth so I don't really feel sorry for him in this situation.

Well then... perhaps you can explain who killed Kenny... and what he was even doing in here in the first place?

I agree that "divorce" is a plague upon our society and in-and-of-itself is no laughing matter. Nowhere do I approve or endorse divorce except in the most extreme circumstances.

Al Gore on the other hand is hilarious. It's hard to resist having a chuckle at the expense of one of the most puffed up, self-righteous, voiciferous perpetrators of one of the greatest hoaxes in modern times.

Since I'm not a Christian and am very far away from the "family value type"...I'll take joy in laughing at the jokes. GT's was one of the better ones I've seen.

What are some other funny divorces that you can recall?

I am a Christian and I laughed at a couple of the jokes. Thats what they are Jokes, and since I don't know them up close I just wish them well. But Every knee will bow every tongue confess before the LORD.

I can't remember any specifics...but I'm sure these divorces had some good jokes:

Britney Spears/Kevin Federline - Train wreck the whole time.

Michael Jackson/ Lisa Marie Presley - What a sham of a marriage.

Michael Jordan and his ex - My college roommate had some good commentary on this one. But NSFBGP at all.

This list could probably be a mile long if we really thought about it.

Come on guys, unless he or Tipper are family or close friends, I think you're taking this a bit too seriously. He's a politician, this sort of thing gets made light of all the time, it doesn't mean people are happy about it or spiteful. I hope you guys don't get all Debbie Downer like this at parties.

I really need to know. The internet is important to me, and I want it in good hands... :idunno:

Are you serious? Of course it is spiteful. It is also mean spirited, petty, small minded and decidedly unChristian.

When people start pointing out all the things that are wrong with this country, this is indicative of what I feel is #1. Lack of respect for others.

I just want to know who is going to be in charge of the internet. Geez...
