Going to be a mighty interesting Game 6, I can only hope the Magic have the lead or it's close in the 4th quarter. That would be quite the environment.

Celtics had a chance but these refs weren't going to let it happen. The two T's on Perkins were bogus, the T on Rondo was pretty lame as well. It was a horribly called game but the Celtics let it get to them. J.J has came up big in these last two games. Magic will live and die by the 3.

The Celtics need to find some answers. Rondo is having a hard time getting to the basket against Howard and the Celtics offense begins and ends with him when they are at the top their game.

 

My suggestion would be more movement when they have the ball. The Celtics offense the last two games has been eerily similar to the garbage I've had to watch the Cavs play the last two post seasons. They stand around and isolate someone, usually Pierce. That doesn't work against the Magic because of Howard and isn't what the Celtics do best. They have to make Howard work defensively and get him into foul trouble. Nelson and Howard in the pick and role have given the Celtics fits the last two games.

 

Give credit to the Magic, they have fought back in this series. I saw rumors about SVG getting fired if they lost, that is ridiculous. He's one of the best in the business, and I don't know if there are 5 better in the NBA at X's and O's.

Hack-a-Howard is lame, and is busch-league. And the Celtics got what they deserved for doing it.

Because they should just play defense. Fouling someone you think is a bad FT shooter with 7 minutes left down by 10 is weak. It was the first time I ever wanted Howard to succeed. The Celtics pride themselves on defense, and it was an omission that they could not stop the Magic, a team they destroyed for 2 & 1/2 games. It's just weak in my book and it never works. Didn't work for the Spurs and it's not going to work for the Celtics either. Just man up and play defense.

I think it's bush that a professional basketball player can't hit half of his free throws. I'm not giving a guy dunks and hook shots from 3 feet, when I can force him to the foul line where his own team is probably happy just to see one of them go down. It's not bush. It's smart. And, if you want it to stop, learn to shoot a free throw. And, while you're at it, develop a real offensive game.

 

Boston got complacent with a 3-0 and Orlando showed a little more guts than they did last year when they fell behind LA in the finals. I fully expect Boston to play with more urgency in what could be their last home game if they lose. People say the pressure is all on Boston, but disagree. Now that they're back in the series with a legitimate shot, how will Orlando respond? Will they carry the momentum from a great performance in Game 5, or will they tighten up ever so slightly?

 

If nothing else, the Magic and Suns have added some drama to the conference finals.

To be honest, until Phoenix proves they can win in LA, I'm more concerned with Boston making the finals than the Lakers. Ultimately, I still expect to see the Lakers and Celtics get there.

I'm not making excuses for Boston. I agree on Perkins. I was glad they gave him the T because he acts like that on every call. He's irritating to watch. However, it doesn't change the fact that they were bad calls, especially in playoff basketball, and that his absence is a huge loss for Boston defensively. But, I don't think they'd have won anyway. Orlando was on last night.

 

I don't really care if Boston wins or not. I'd like to see LA get another crack at them, but I also believe the Magic would be a more favorable matchup to the Lakers. So, it doesn't matter that much to me.

I'm still confident the Celtics can pull it out... Game 6 at home on Friday night is going to be a big green W!
