May 12, 201016 yr Is Mike Brown operating an NFL franchise or a half way house??? I know he he called himself a "redeemer" when Henry was getting into trouble, but you have to have limit. If Russell is ever going to make it in the NFL he should be converted to tight end.

If Turk Shonert isn't available, I say we go after him. (A little tongue in cheek, but I really would prefer him over their current options).

The one time he did get to play regularly (2008), he was respectible. NOT good, but respectible. Russell hasn't found that level of play ever.

May 12, 201016 yr I have no problem with this if it did happen. Me neither. You bring him in, if he isn't preparing or in some shape besides round then you can cut him. If he works at it then you have a QB with starting experience backing up your franchise QB.

He did a decent job in preseason and going into last year you certainly thought he was an upgrade over Fitzpatrick. Carson didn't exactly look too slick agaisnt the Jets last year either.
May 12, 201016 yr Um because he sucks? But, you wouldn't have to pay him much. Who knows, maybe if he spent a few years on the bench he could become a serviceable QB. And you can always let him go if he meets most of our expectations and is awful.
