May 12, 201016 yr no, have you. No, I haven't. My point is, you haven't seen Obama or Bush's birth certificate, and you automatically assume Obama isn't a US citizen...Why, because his dad is from Kenya? Or is it because his name doesn't "appear" to be an American name?
May 12, 201016 yr Points to consider: I see no problem with being proud to be an American. I am. I am not at all ashamed of our past successes, in fact I am not even ashamed of many of the things that most would percieve as our failings because that would indicate a moral judgement of history which I will not do either. I am not bashing America I am just pointing out inconsistencies. Anyone in the "moral majority" who wants to bash today and talk about the "Golden Age" of the 1950's is living in a dream world because injustice and "Anti-American" activities were occurring then too. Believe me there are few on this board as willing to use force as I am and in fact I would dare say I am more willing to be amoral about things whether you perceive it as good or bad. This however illustrates why I don't post here as often as I used to anymore. As soon as you indicate a counterpoint even if the odds are good that the person you mention it to agrees with you on more things than not, you will be instantly branded as: Liberal Communist Socialist America-Hater Lolly-gagger Okay so I added the last one for kicks, but I hope I made my point. :clap: Could not have said it better and am grateful that you did say it this way. :thumb:
