Chane Behanan is now being recruited heavily by Seton Hall and Texas. Seton Hall has offered already...

I saw his stats...21+ and 11+ for last year which are very good, but not against real strong competition is seemed to me. I have never seen him...how tall is he? What are his strengths? Just interested.

6'7 230 lb power forward that is a beast down low and around the rim. His strength and size combined with his athleticism make him extremely tough to guard. One could argue that he was the best player in the state this past year as a junior. He's currently rated in Rivals top 100 for c/o 2011.

 

As far as competition, he's been putting up these numbers since he was a freshman playing varsity over at Cincinnati Aiken...so the competition statement is a non factor when it comes to this kid.

 

He'll be playing summer ball for the most dominant AAU program over the past 5 or 6 years...All Ohio Red.

Not surprising that Seton Hall offered him since Bowling Green graduate Kevin Willard is the head coach at Seton Hall.

 

Is Behanan still a Cincinnati lean?

He is more wide open now than ever, but still a very good chance he lands at UC...

Any reason for this? You'd think he would have stuck with AOR considering the talent they have on that U-17 team. (National Champs last year at 16U)

The 17U team is good but far from great. Stevie Taylor and Trey Burke are solid at the guard spot but they have nothing of note on the wing and the post is even lower quality. Fant is a mid major plus at best, and is nursing a bad ankle right now.

 

As for why Chane decided to stick with OCB, that's not something I'm going to get in to on a public forum outside of what I've already said...

I always assumed he brought it full throttle in AAU. That isn't the case? He definitely didn't do it full out all the time during the Bowling Green games.

He did 2 years ago. Last year a little less. This year........

Behanan is by far the best junior prospect in Kentucky. Coach Cal isn't showing much interest from what I gather though. I think when it is all said and done, Cincy is his first choice and Louisville will be his second choice.

By far????? Really playing against the talent he played against? I think most people would disagree he is BY FAR the best of that class, he is def up there in the mention but no way can be said he is BY FAR the best!
