April 29, 201016 yr Schmidt. The funnest to watch in the field was Brooks Robinson though. Some of his plays in the '70 World Series were sick.
April 29, 201016 yr I think an argument can be made for Brooks Robinson and Wade Boggs over Chipper. The greatest is Mike Schmidt. Does anyone else want to consider Paul Molitor, or do folks think of him as a DH? When do we start to consider A-Rod? He is a better player than Chipper, but do the years playing SS keep him out of consideration in the minds of folks? Just some things to ponder...
April 29, 201016 yr Brooks Robinson hands down! In the WS against the Reds he single handily killed them with his glove!
April 29, 201016 yr Growing up just outside of Baltimore, I was always partial to Brooks. However, I have to give the overall nod to Schmidt; clearly the best of all time IMHO. Graig Nettles should also probably be in the mix.

April 29, 201016 yr Schmidt as of now. Longoria might end up being up there at the end of his career.
April 29, 201016 yr 1) Schmidt 2) Robinson 3) Boggs 4) Brett There are many players that played 3rd at diffrent points of their career. Here are a few off my head: 1) Pujols (The BEST!) 2) A-Rod 3) Rose
April 29, 201016 yr Schmidt. The funnest . The EKU English dept is just thrilled to have you as an alum.
April 29, 201016 yr You cannot have a list with Brooks ahead of Eddie Mathews. He had 500+ bombs back when that was really unheard of.
April 29, 201016 yr A-Rod is an interesting case. He will have spent half of his career at third despite that not being his natural position.
April 29, 201016 yr The EKU English dept is just thrilled to have you as an alum. Kind of ashamed to admit that beside Criminal Justice, I do actually have an English degree. I make mistakes like that only to give people like you something to do in your free time.
