Any idea on what the pitching restrictions are since we are looking at possible 4 games in 3 days?

 

I assume normal high school rules apply.

 

A) Pitching Limitations

1) For purposes of this rule, delivery of a minimum of one (1) pitch

constitutes having pitched in one inning.

2) A pitcher may pitch in a maximum of nine (9) innings in one

(1) day, but not more than fifteen (15) innings in any seven (7)

day period.

3) If a pitcher pitches in three (3) innings to five (5) innings, in

one (1) day, that pitcher shall have one (1) calendar day of

rest beginning with the day following the first day a pitch is

thrown.

4) If a pitcher pitches in six (6) innings, that pitcher shall have two

(2) calendar days of rest beginning with the day following the

first day a pitch is thrown.

5) If a pitcher pitches in seven (7) or more innings in one day, that

pitcher shall have three (3) calendar days of rest beginning with

the day following the fi rst day a pitch is thrown.

6) This limitation affects regular season and postseason play.

 

Based on this, if you are trying to get your #1 pitcher the most innings, pitch him Thursday no more than 5 innings and he can come back Saturday. Otherwise, if you want to use a pitcher in more than one game, he will have to pitch 2 innings or less in a game to be eligible to pitch in another game. Any way you look at it, the teams that make it to the title game will likely need to use 6 pitchers or more to win it.

I thought the SK vs Conner game was at Conner at 4:30. Can anyone confirm locaiton and time for sure? I got the info from a neighbor who is on the ballteam.

I believe they play at 5 at Conner. They moved the game from SK due to flooding on the field I believe.

Great game by the Baby Birds. They hit the ball hard, played good D and got a great pitching performance from an 8th Grader.

Ryle beat St. Henry tonight. Not sure of the score.

boone won 9-0. Could have been a lot worse as cooper coaching once again had there better players on the bench or out of position on the field. A team with decent talent plagued all year by suspect coaching.
