I'm willing to make the drive, if it's a city I enjoy. Cleveland and Louisville are 2 cities I don't visit unless I'm forced to.

You're loss. Louisville has a lot to offer. I've only been to Cleveland once but I definitely share your sentiments there.

You can sit at the top of many arenas around the NBA for a full season for less than $500... I'd almost certainly have season tickets at that price.

Once I figured out how many freebies I could get then I'd make a decision. I would definitely consider going in with some friends on season tickets. I have for UK football in the past and considered it for UK bball this year until I remembered how bad upper level at Rupp is.

If I drive to Louisville a couple of times a year to watch the Bats I would surely drive a few times to watch the NBA. Its about a two hour drive for me.

I'd consider getting season tickets in Cincinnati.

 

I can't imagine going to more than 1 or 2 in Louisville, unless they are offered to me for free.

I'd go to atleast a handful, and probably 10 or so. I'd want to see alot of different teams. I have never watched Duncan, Garnett, Bryant, or Durant live so I'd want to see them.

Nope. I pay attention a bit more during the playoffs, but I may have watched a grand total of a game or two during the regular season this year.

That's the way I was about 5-6 years ago. Now it seems like every year I watch less and less of the college game and more of the pro game... though my standard practice of watching every UofL and Dayton game has not changed over that span.

I might go to a game or two the first year, just to see a couple of the great players. However after the first year, I don't think I would really go at all. I think if Louisville did get a team, that it would have pretty good attendance that first year, because people would go for the exact reasons I want to. Then I think we will see the attendance go way down every year after it.

How many NBA cities are college towns at heart? That's why the NBA would fail here. There just isn't enough interest in the NBA in Kentucky to be able to support it.

I don't think enough people in this state would care enough. This is a college basketball state. People will go the first year, and maybe even some of the second year. However experience a NBA game or two, and get to see a few of the star players. I just don't think there would be as much interest anymore to keep going after that.

So do you think if there was an NBA team in this state, that there would be a lot in interest in it? Especially after the first year or two? I could be wrong, but I just don't see it. There has been other cities that have failed with NBA teams, and I think that would happen here in this state too.
