At the 1A level, the more depth the better is always my way of thinking. It will interesting to see how Bwood responds next year after a earlier than normal exit. I would expect nothing less than the Tigers to be working their butts off as I sit here in the air typing this out. I already dread a possible playoff meeting where I am made to travel the equal of half way to Florida to play the Beechnuts on their home turf. I have petitioned the KHSAA asking for relief in hopes of them moving this possible meeting to a half way point. Ha, Ha, Ha!

Nahhh, you can't miss what you haven't had. He hardly played at all last year. I am not saying he isn't a good football player. I am just saying that he did not contribute that much last year and will not be missed. They have two juniors that are over 6'2" that can play defensive end. Plus, they worked Brilz in at end last year in case one of them plays on the offensive side of the ball. I am not concerned about losing Larimore.

 

I "think" he only played in one game...he was probably 50% healthy and only competed for a short period of timein that game. BW would love to have him, but, I agree, they can't miss him from last season because he wasn't there.

Losing your best athlete would be a blow to any team. Larimore will be missed this year.

I am pretty sure they didn't lose Cameron Vocke .... who would definitely be Beechwood's best athlete.

The last time he played was when Manillo (sp) and that group played. Saying they will miss Manillo two years after his is gone is the same thing. Would we like to have Larimore, sure. Larimore would be a first team all star if he played so let there be no doubt he will be missed. But as others have posted, this is one of the deepest Beechwood teams in years so there are talented players in line to fill Larimore's spot. While Larimore will be missed on the football field, it will be great to see him on the baseball diamond healthy in pursuit of his future in baseball.
