I heard that on First Take and that pretty much says it all, they were lucky to get anything for him. We could probably have a 100 page thread if we listed the number of athletes with all the talent in the world that just throw it away because of drugs, alcohol, poor decisions, etc. Ridiculous

April 12, 201016 yr Surprised that the Bengals weren't interested. Right up Browns' alley to take this project. It is not right up Mike Brown's alley. He acquires player once they become a free agent. He has not traded for any troubled players recently.

Played all year with 3rd and 4th string TE's, lost a Pro Bowl WR to free agency, and had a QB who didn't really play the year before. Your statement right there, makes it sound like the Steelers having a couple of injuries was the reason why the Bengals SWEPT the Steelers. When in reality the Bengals had to play with losses as well and they were good enough to overcome it. So if both teams are healthy, I don't see how you can say the Steelers should be the team who wins the division. Shoot I think the Steelers should be pick to finish third right now....

April 13, 201016 yr Pretty sad but I heard several radio people today saying the Steelers are everything the Bengals aren't. Where the Bengals go after troubled players and don't have discipline old man Rooney said he'd rather lose with class than win with losers. I am very anti Pitt but today it is very hard for me not to respect them not letting the tail wag the dog. I would not be the least bit suprised to see Big Ben gone not this coming year but the next. He's on his last limb there too. I also expect Goodell to suspend Ben if the Steelers don't. From a talent standpoint Pitt has dropped to #3 in the Division I think. You learn not to doubt them so I'm not ready to pick them 3rd but looking at talent I think Cincy and Baltimore are better. Pitt has holes on offense and Poly/Ben have shown they are a hit away from being out for some time. Cincy adds Bryant + Balt adds Boldin. Honestly with all the dumb moves the Bengals make a 5th rounder for Holmes would have been one of their better moves if they don't mind the troubled players. Still mad they didn't go after Boldin!
April 13, 201016 yr I think you're monumentally wrong. Of course, that is nothing new. Interesting you say I am always wrong. When most of my arguments are based on opinion, and pretty sure you can't be wrong on an opinion. It doesn't matter if everyone else on here has the opposite opinion, it still doesn't make anyone more right than the other because its still just an opinion. However it is nice to have a little personal attack from a moderator, I like it..:sssh: If you disagree with me thats fine. You care to explain why I am monumentally wrong though? Bengals had to deal with a ton of key injuries last year too before the season started and during the season, and yet they were still good enough to beat the Steelers twice. The Bengals should be even better next year than they were. While the Steelers just got rid of one of their best offensive weapons, and still have many questions along that offensive line, and corner. Then throw in the fact that the Ravens, added something they been missing forever in a #1 receiver, and I could definitely see them in front of the Steelers too. I very well could be wrong, and the Steelers could win the division. However to act like as long as the Steelers are healthy on defense, that they will definitely win the division is monumentally wrong IMO.
