Definitely a Strand of Oaks fan. I've caught their live show once before, but I'll happily be checking them out again here in Louisville the day before at Waterfront Wednesday in Waterfront Park. Also a free show. :thumb:

Of those who say that new music is crap, they might be intrigued by the sentiment discussed in the Strand of Oaks song “Radio Kids” because he’s pretty much saying the same thing while longing for the days when he was a kid excited by listening to the radio, and wanting to jam all night with his headphones on, and how he’d love to get that feeling back. I think that the tune delivers that message well while offering a memorable dynamic rockin’ guitar line, and building to a powerful finish. :ylsuper:

 

Really love their tune "JM" honoring the late Songs:Ohia's Jason Molina with its goose bumpy Neil Youngish "Cortez the Killer" style jam.

This is the second time now that I’ve found the Welsh artist Novo Amor because of a commercial… this time it was Pearl Vision, but my ear was keen this time to detect by the distinct vocals who it likely was.

Been hearing this tune lately on a Taltz commercial, a medicine for psoriasis, and finally was able to figure out who it was.

 

At first I thought that it might be Bon Iver. No doubt very similar however it's Novo Ador, a Welsh group doing the song "Anchor"

 

Sometimes when my introduction to a song is from a commercial it can sorta ruin it for me because it's hard to get the commercial out of my head, yet not in this case...really like this song.

 

 

Here's the Novo Amor tune that caught my ear back in April from a Psoriasis medicine commercial...love love love it.

This Nashville chick "Tristen" was at MOTR a couple of weeks ago, and I showed up but felt too tired to wait until her 11:00 show time, so I regrettably split, but I really do dig the easily accessible retro 80's pop vibe/girl thing that she's serving up here.
