The best one in my memory is '03 I believe. Lebron James Dwyane Wade Carmelo Anthony Chris Bosh Those are who come to mind without looking it up. I know there were several other really good players drafted that year as well. What say you?

April 1, 201016 yr The '84 class had Jordan, Olajuwon, Barkley, & John Stockton so it's pretty tough to beat. But the '03 will probably end up being just as good: James, DWade, Carmelo, Bosh, David West and solid guys like Mo Williams and Josh Howard. Those two have to be at or near the top of any list I would imagine.

April 1, 201016 yr Class of 96? Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, Steve Nash, Ray Allen, Jermaine O'Neal, Peja Stojakovic, Antoine Walker, Stephon Marbury, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, and Zydrunas Ilgauskus. Ten All-Stars. Not half bad. Kobe, Iverson, And Nash have combined for four League MVP awards.

Kobe, Iverson, And Nash have combined for four League MVP awards. The depth of that class is ridiculous. I didn't realize there were so many stars drafted that year. Overall, it might be better than the '03 class. I just think the '03 class has more of the league's top tier players. There is definitely something to be said for a class with 10 all-stars though.

In those days the team that drafted you held your rights. Celts drafted him in 1978 but he didn't join until after the 79 college season.

LeBron James Carmelo Anthony Chris Bosh Dwyane Wade Chris Kaman David West Josh Howard Mo Williams I'd say this was probably a deeper draft than 1996... '96 had more star power, but '03 had some guys that have been solid role players in the league for quite some time. Michael Pietrus, Kirk Hinrich, TJ Ford, Boris Diaw, Kendrick Perkins, Leandro Barbosa, Kyle Korver, etc. '96 class actually had 11 All Stars, but Ben Wallace went undrafted.
April 1, 201016 yr When it's all said and done I think '03 is gonna be tough to beat. James, Wade and Anthony could all end up as top 15-20 players all-time, and Bosh could/should be a contender for the Hall of Fame if he keeps it up, and there are plenty of good role players in there that start or get plenty of run.
April 1, 201016 yr I'd have to go with 84, in addition to the players mentioned above, you had Sam Perkins, Alvin Robertson, Otis Thorpe, and Kevin Willis. A whole lot of depth in that class. 2003 class is pretty top heavy with quite a few of today's top tier players, but it's hard to see them surpassing the careers of Jordan, Olajuwon, and Barkley

I don't get where 8 championships is coming from either, there are 8 between Jordan and Hakeem alone.
April 2, 201016 yr 1984, 1996 and 2003 all have impressive resumes. 2003 is extremely top heavy but they lose points for the number 2 pick......Darko Milicic.:ohbrother: After Kaman, you have David West and Josh Howard and Howard is close to getting himself blackballed from the NBA as is. There are guys like Barbosa who are quality players even though they aren't all stars that make this class impressive. 1984 had Jordan, Barkley, Stockton and Olajuwon along with a few others but it also had 9 rounds maybe so it becomes as top heavy as the 2003 draft, IMO. I counted 10 guys who had quality careers(that I know of) from 1984. MJ, Barkley, Stockton, Olajuwon, Kevin Willis, Alvin Robertson, Otis Thorpe, Jerome Kersey, Rick Carlisle and Sam Perkins. In 2003, I counted 16, but I admittedly know more about today's players than 1984's because of better exposure to the NBA. When I was a kid, I knew about the best teams and that's it. That's all NBC really showed and we didn't have TNT, ESPN or the NBA package to watch 82 games a week with back then.:lol: In 1996, I counted 15. I guess we'll have to wait about 20 years before we can get a clear cut answer and can just use number of hall of famers in each class to pick the answer. All 3 are easily the best ones that immediately come to mind.
