The only thing about Knipp is will the schedule give him enough exposure to win the award?

 

Knipp will lead the state in scoring most likely, but the 16th region is one of the worse regions in the state. Jon Ferguson had a huge year last year but still didn't win the award. I could see a similar outcome for Knipp as well.

 

When it comes to talent, Behanan is hands down the best player in the state. Kid has averaged a double double all 3 years of his high school career and I'd expect those numbers to be outrageous next year as well.

For all who doubts Timmy Knipp look no further than that highlight video to prove that he is the BEST player this state has to offer. I don't want to hear the 16th region excuse, attitude or whatever is thrown at this kid he can flat out play!

Look at the kids he is doing that against though. Not one is his size or athletic as him.

 

Put him against Behanan, Fant, Stroud, Purvis, Daniel, Kates, Gaines, or one of the more athletic kids from other regions and see if he still puts together a highlight film like that.

 

See Timmy on the AAU circuit as further proof that he isn't the best player in the state. Against kids as athletic and big as him, he only averages around 10 ppg.

Not taking anything away from Vinny because he's very good, but I wouldn't put too much stock in ESPN's rankings. There's a reason Chane has been heard about NATIONALLY since his freshman year.

Let's wait about a year and then decide. The cream will always come to the top.
