Red Shift
I was at the game and it looked like Russell had just as many fans if not more. The Pride runs deep at Russell. Gives the kids there dues. Thay wanted it more than Ashland. They never quit and if they were tired it did not show. Some bad play calling on Ashland last possesion was costly. Good Job Russell 1) Yes, Russell did have more fans (and I was one of them) 2a) Yes, Russell wanted it more than Ashland did 2b) This resulted in Russell taking control early I agree with you, but you can't deny the fact that Russell was probably outmatched talent-wise, at least a little. They made up for it by good coaching and intensity. If Ashland came out as Russell did, then the split for that game, strictly based on talent, was likely around 3-7 - Good coaching boosted it up to 4-6, and the intensity that Russell came out with put it about 5-5, as you must remember it still came down to the last drive. On that night Russell won in what was a toss-up after all the factors were added up, and I am proud of the Freshmen for accomplishing a feat that our class (in Double OT) was unable to do. Nothingbutnet
RRD09, this thread has been dead for almost a month, why resurrect it??? Russell beat Ashland, they play Belfry this weekend, and they have a good basketball team to look forward to - so why are you pulling up an old October thread?? Lets get on with it!!
