March 22, 201016 yr Should have been out of the inning already but that is something he will have to deal with.
March 22, 201016 yr Not the most impressive numbers by Chapman, but you can see that he's oozing with talent. Also, the inning was extended due to an error. I'm excited to see how he bounces back.
March 22, 201016 yr Pulled for stiffness in his back... Not a problem. I'd guess he was pulled just as much for the near 40 pitches as he was the back problem. I would love to see him start out at AAA or AA, but I think he's tough to pass up. We'll see in a few more days.
March 22, 201016 yr Author He definitely has the stuff... Hated to see him pulled for a health issue. Hope it's not serious.
March 23, 201016 yr He has never had back problems before so hopefully it won't be am issue. He definitely has the stuff... Hated to see him pulled for a health issue. Hope it's not serious. Apparently it has been bothering him for a few days. Nonissue, IMO.
March 23, 201016 yr Author I've got it on my laptop since I'm on the road with work so much. The townhouse complex that I live in won't allow satellite dishes so I can't get it on Direct TV. On a side note I didn't realize Frazier was on the Tom's River, NJ team that won the LLWS. I remember watching them play, that's pretty cool--it also makes me feel even older. Have you had any complaints with the MLB.TV package? I'm thinking of getting it this year.
March 23, 201016 yr Have you had any complaints with the MLB.TV package? I'm thinking of getting it this year. I enjoyed it pretty well last season. Lots of time when I was home I would bring the Red Sox game up on my laptop while watching something else on the television. When I was on the road I'd watch it on my laptop if I didn't go to a Bdubs or sports bar. Every once and awhile the screen would lock up and I'd have to log back on but it was well worth the money.
March 23, 201016 yr He definitely has the stuff... Hated to see him pulled for a health issue. Hope it's not serious. I think he will shake it off thank God it's not an arm thing. Bailey is the one im worried about this year.
March 23, 201016 yr I think the Reds need to make sure that Chapman is open about any ailments. He's been hurting for a whole week and said nothing.
March 24, 201016 yr Well, Chapman's lasted injury (back) will prevent him from becoming the 5th starter. It's not official, but it's looking like he'll have to spend some time in the minors. Honestly, this is probably the best route to take anyway. I think Lehr will win the 5th spot now. Wood, Maloney & Leake are all more talented, but Lehr has the experience. The Reds are talking about moving Maloney to the bullpen. I'd rather see the lefty win the #5 spot, but we shall see.
March 25, 201016 yr The back spasm thing will give them a reason to send him down and to avoid arbitration for a year.
March 25, 201016 yr The back spasm thing will give them a reason to send him down and to avoid arbitration for a year. Yes it will give us a reason to take advantage of one of the dumbest rules in sports.
March 25, 201016 yr The back spasm thing will give them a reason to send him down and to avoid arbitration for a year. I think it will be a blessing in disguise. He really needs to spend some time in the minors, especially if he was going to be the 5th starter where he would get skipped pretty often in the first few weeks.
