cammando ... you are really scaring me on this one. At one point do you accept proof that you are wrong on something? Or are you never wrong and you only accept the facts that make your belief seem accurate. There are so many topics where legitimate debate can happen. Please don't waste your time and energy on silly things like this. Your stance here is one of the things that scares me the most about our country and the state of politics. There is so much negativity, bordering on slander, and so many people are almost irrationally dedicated to proving the other side is the devil incarnate. Whether you like Obama or Bush or Palin, these are good people doing their best to serve. They are not evil. They are God fearing Americans with families doing their best to live the American dream and help us all do the same. They all believe in our country and will do everything in their power to defend it. Let's have genuine honest debate on contested topics without half truths and slanderous innuendos.

 

And one more thing. Snopes is awesome. That is perhaps my favorite website. NEVER, EVER believe what you read in an email without double checking it on snopes. I have checked a hundred or more of these forwarded, email stories out and they are always wrong. Thanks for the link rockmom!

The intent to twist your words is deliberate, just as yours is deliberate in twisting Obama's.

 

We get it. You don't like the man. But there is plenty of legitimate issue with which to base your ire. This isn't one of them. And it seems downright petty to do so.

Even if most think it's not an "legitimate" issue I still adamantly disagree with Obama on his stance on the issue no matter how he worded it.(I posted the exact wording also.) The message is very clear... How about we return to the original topic of the thread.. Why is Obama taking a hard line stance against Israel?? Anyone on the left can surely answer the question... Why is he trying to impose his will on a long time allied country that a lot of Americans have close ties to??

The only thing I was wrong on was his exact wording which I corrected in a later post... His stand on the matter is very clear and I don't agree.. It doesn't make me wrong or you right... And it is not a "silly" issue when lives are sometimes at sake.. The only thing you should be scared of is the direction that Obama is taking this country in.. He is the one that has divided this country in the manner you are speaking of... And NEVER,EVER believe every thing you read on Snopes.. They have been proved wrong many times also.. My coutrie's security is exrtremely important to me. Profiling is used all the time. Police profile the percentages. It is MUCH more likely that a terrorist will be of Middle Eastern descent than other nationalities. Sorry folks, that is not hate, that is simply a fact. It is flat unbelievable that you would seriously consider these close to the same threat as the one faced from Al Queida. For one thing, several of the loners mentioned are dead. Threat eradicated.

The point is, which you cannot dispute, is that profiling people middle eastern heritage is not going to cast a net big enough to capture terrorists, and probably distracts those who are looking. I might have gotten a bit hyperbolic, but I will go back to the shoe bomber and underbomber, neither of whom were of middle eastern heritage.
