Unless he knows something I don't, southernkyhoops is not referring to the loss of players to South Warren, but the loss of seven seniors, three who started, and three who saw significant time off the bench. I don't even know that there is a single player that is lost to South Warren from Warren Central. Central will still compete in the region, but Bowling Green was very young this year, and a three point shooter named Bollenbecker was really the only major loss for Russellville. They'll have a five year starter and a senior lineup on their team next year.

Ballard has looked like the eventual State Champs through 6 quarters this week. Warren Central made a great come back, which in turn made for a great game to watch. If Ballard can figure out what went wrong in the second half, I like them to win it all.

As to atrocious shooting in the first quarter, reference Covington Holmes in the ninth region final. Sometimes it just happens.

 

Did anyone else notice the official falling down on the last shot, then getting up and hustling to get back down floor to call the 3? Good work by the official there. Demarcus Cousins could use some lessons from her on getting up quickly and hustling down floor to get back in the play.
