That's the region, not the pod. The pod is their first two round games, Syracuse is their likely destination should they get to the Sweet 16 or Elite Eight.

I don't remember saying he was wrong. I think he said that the call could have (insinuating it did) cost Mississippi State the game and that the call is something the selection committee should look at when determining if State is worthy.

 

I couldn't care less if anyone has anything bad to say about Kentucky. I'm happy and the rest of the Commonwealth and Big Blue seems pretty happy.

Regardless of whether calls benefited either team, it was a great win for UK and it was good to see the freshmen make big plays in the final minute and in overtime.

Had they played anyone other than UK in the title game, they win by double digits. If the selection committee does their job well, State is in.

Just throwing this out there. Wall did commit a lane violation. HOWEVER, he was not the only player to do so. An MSU player was also guilty of this on that very same play. Gottlieb neglected to point that out, and that is why his comments bother me.

They played nice in the tournament, no doubt. They also gave Kentucky all they could handle, but every team has brought their all against the Cats.

 

That said, you're suppose to look at the season as a whole and they have some really dumb losses. Losses that simply should not happen. If they played like today all season, they're a top ten team - no doubt.

If anyone is signed up for meteorologist Chris Bailey's Twitter feed, you had to love his comment, just seconds after Gottlieb's remarks. :lol:
