Will Duke Move in Front of Kentucky in this weeks Rankings

Featured Replies

What does everyone think will KY just drop to 3rd with Purdue losing or will Duke move to 3rd and drop KY to 4th behind Kan. Syr. and Duke.

I doubt it. Kansas and UK only has two losses while Duke has four. It could happen though.

I don't think they will in the composite rankings, but I would bet that Duke will move in front on a few of the ballots. Duke hasn't lost in over a month, so there is some basis for it, though I think it could be fairly argued that their schedule has been quite favorable during that time.

1.Syracuse

2.Kansas

3.Kentucky

4.Duke

I saw on CBS yesterday (which suprised me) that Duke had a higher RPI than Kentucky. It was Kan. Syr. Duke and then KY. I did not agree with that myself.

I actually believe Duke is second in RPI actually.

It would be ridiculous if it happened. UK has better wins, fewer losses, and lost to better teams.

Duke losses: RPI 11, 17, 32, and 107.

UK losses: RPI 14, 82.

Duke 5 best wins: RPI 23, 28, 31, 32, 35

UK 5 best wins: RPI 14, 15 (x2), 41, 42

UK doesn't have better wins on a whole. UK's schedule is subpar.

I do agree though it shouldn't happen.

We all know your opinion about UT and Vandy, but the fact remains that they're ranked higher than Maryland, which is Duke's best win.

So UK DOES have better wins. Period.

No, UK should be #3, Kansas #2 and 'Cuse #1.

Check strength of schedule.

That's how I would have them.

Check strength of schedule.

Now we're arguing SOS? So now you admit UK has better wins?

But if you insist, UK played 1 team ranked lower than 250 and Duke played 3 teams under 250.
