While I agree with Flotsam, that's funny.

I see a similar result from the Beechwood game in this one. The fact that Covcath played Holmes so close through the first 3 quarters in the first game will keep Holmes focused from tip to finish.

 

If Holmes presses and puts pressure on the CCH guards like they did against Beechwood, we could see a blowout on the Colonels home floor. I'd expect Holmes' length and quickness on defense to bother the smaller Covcath guards which will lead to easy points in transition. Holmes seems to be clicking on all cylinders right now at both ends of the floor.

 

I'm going to say the Dogs get up by double digits in the second quarter and cruise from there. Since the game is AT Covcath:

Colonels go on a late run with Ricardo, JJ, and Elijah on the bench to make the score a little more respectable.

 

You may be selling Cov Cath short by saying Holmes will be able to sit their BIG 3 all at once at any point in this game. On their home court, I'm thinking the Colonels can at least put up a decent fight and make the Bulldogs sweat a little more than some think.

I think this game will come down to the end, Cov Cath is always tough at home. I think the colonels will get some extra energy from their "Colonel Crazies" in the stands and put up a fight that will push the Bulldogs to the limit. But in the end Holmes wins this with their defense.

There is no pressure on CovCath in this game. While I don't think they match up with Holmes very well, it's the type of game that the underdog can surprise.

 

If Holmes gets into early foul trouble, and Wilson or Evans find the 3 point shot, it could get interesting. I know those are two BIG if's but, it would literally make CovCath's season this year if they could somehow knock off Holmes.

 

I don't think this is likely, but stranger things have happened.

But really neither does Holmes in this game, both teams will be playing in the region tournament. Now when you are talking about a region game you are correct. All of the pressure is on Holmes in the region. But this game is basically for pride (and seeding of course)
