February 24, 201016 yr Maybe Syracuse will have already clinched the Big East when they and UL close out the regular season, so the Cards might get an edge there. This isn't the NFL. College teams don't have the luxury of taking off games because too many things can happen. In college you bring "A" game every night!
February 24, 201016 yr Author This one really hurts the Cards at-large chances. I fully expect them to make it a moot point by winning at either UConn or Marquette, but if not, those losses to Western Carolina and Charlotte are going to kill them come selection sunday. They absolutely must get to 10-8 in conference play or else make the BEast tournament semis to get in the field. This is my feelings exactly. Just hope they can find another W. If they don't, those December games will haunt them.

February 24, 201016 yr Surely you don't mean this. Refer to UK vs. S. Carolina for one example. What? UK may have not brought their A game that night, but it was not because they were resting players for the upcoming schedule. They just were not very good and got beat.
February 24, 201016 yr Cards can have the ability to get two more wins. The next game is the most important. They have to get the next one.

Who said anything about resting players? I certainly didn't. I addressed the concept of bringing your A game......whcih to me involves preparation, respect for one's opponent, intensity and guts.

Well in that case, Kentucky certainly didn't bring their "A game" against USC, but I'll be safe in saying that Syracuse will when they play U of L.
