February 17, 201016 yr Just so we're all clear what other kickers in the NFL made this year: 2.7M Graham 2.2M Vinatieri 1.8M Longwell 1.7M Elam 1.5M Feely 1.4M Akers 1.4M Kaeding 1.3M Lindell 1.3M Reed 1.1M Rackers 1.0M Gostowski 900K Tynes Again, you just don't spend that kind of money on a kicker who's the same general quality as many of the above kickers, especially when you have some glaring needs at other positions. Except QB, of course. They're fine there. And it's not as if the QB position is all that critical anyways. I'd rather have an elite punter. I don't know what his percentage was this year but I would think Gostkowski is a bargain. Probably under rook contract. Graham continues to mock us all.

February 18, 201016 yr Saw something on the Raiders today, I think it was something like they are the first team to have five straight picks in the top ten of the draft. That adds up to a lot of money as well, those top ten picks don't come cheap.
