Bayh quits one or two days before the last date to enter a race. Is anyone disturbed by this? Is it worse than it used to be? No big deal? If I'm in a position where I feel I'm no longer effective, have no chance for advancement and I'm in a position to better myself or family, I'd "quit" or move on. In fact, I've done it before. Wouldn't you Clyde? So no, I am not disturbed with "anyone" that does this. Some people will be disturbed with anything Palin does though...Anything.

First off, Palin bailed on AK for the $100k speeches. She failed to be the leader she claimed and polls now reflect that she can't lead and she's not a viable candidate for any future national election. When you run and claim you want to represent the people and then bail, you've failed as well. You quit on the people that put you in a power position (see Palin).

Perhaps, but this voter would rather have some one that I voted for, whom no longer has the heart or drive to zealously represent my views, quit than stay in office and just sleep walk through the job through the rest of his or her term on my nickle.
