One of the worse games/days I can remember for a quite a while as a UofL fan. This one really hurts, the team had a little momentum. It's one foot forward and two steps back this year for the Cards.

 

I think this loss pretty much cements an NIT bid for the Cards. Just a terrible loss.

 

You have to wonder if the coach is not a distraction? The team didn't show up at all.

There was little to no passion for the Cards tonight.

 

A few observations: The crowd was aweful, the gym was well short of half full.

Pitino is really aging. There is a lot of grey in the that hair.

Good point, the atmosphere was absolutely horrible.

Many more performances like that and Pitino very well be interested in the Nets job after all....:lol:

Plenty of quality wins left to be had for the Cards. I agree though, they let one get away tonight and it really hurts their NCAAT chances.

You just don't know what team will show up for UofL. Which is rare from a Pitino team. Usually you know you're gonna get effort. This year that hasn't been the case.

At this rate, I don't think the CBI is out of the question for the Cardinals...

I think, after seeing them quit on more than one occasion this season, that's a fair question to ask. Between the Sypher stuff, and the constant rumors of leaving it has to be hard to keep the respect of the players.

 

I'm still shocked with the effort and heart they played with tonight. Just unreal.

It was a must win as far as the likelihood of a win in some of those games, but if UL can win the home games then that may be enough.

They have to steal one on the road to make up for tonight and win all the home games to have a good chance IMO.

I still find it hilarious people think 18-22 year old athletes give any thought to their coach cheating on his wife. The problem with UL is the lack of a leader on the court, and that has zero to do with Pitino having his noodle and dipping it too...
