Highlands challenging Mitchell ruling

Still don't understand how renting an apt, when one's home was not put up for sale, nor was there even an attempt to try to sell the home, can be called a real move, unless the family knew in advance that they would be living in Ft. Thomas for a very short time. Oh and as far as moving for the illness/injury of Mrs. Mitchell, what, there were no apartments in Florence?

Understand the housing market in Florence was as strong as could be strong during that time period unlike today, where a home can sit on the market for months, upon months, upon months.

Just wondering

1) Did the Mitchells re-register to vote in Campbell or did they still vote in Boone? Should be a matter of public record!

2) Did the Mitchells change their drivers licenses to their new address in Campbell? Should be a matter of public record!

3) Did the Mitchells re-register all their autos to Campbell? Should be a matter of public record!

4) Did the Mitchells still claim the home in Florence as their prime residence for tax purposes?

Did they do all the above?

Again just wondering, but just how long did the Mitchells live in Ft. Thomas after their son left Highlands?

I honestly think if I were the KHSAA I would find out all the answers to questions 1-4...

BTW if Mitchells were out of Ft. Thomas within six months to a year after their son graduated from HHS, then to me at least, it doesn't pass the smell test!

You do not make any sense. You don't have any sympathy for a team that had 12 wins taken away for no reason? Then falsely accusing the Mitchells of not following the rules is absurd. They followed the rules, won the case and did not do anything wrong.

:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Nice work on the picking and choosing select things that I post.:lol: You know exactly what I am saying! Bottom line is your mad that I'm not going along with what you want/think. You can tell the story however you wish to appear that nothing was done wrong in the beginning. :thumb:

Why do you think they did not follows the rules? The Mitchells and Highlands followed the rules that the KHSAA and the courts set out for them.

Hey, I know this is not personnal. I love a good debate amongst friends. Also, I know I can always count on you to livin up a tailgate.:D

First and most important..Thanks Henry for discussing/debating with me. :thumb:

The transfer to another school for the purpose of athletics.

I know everyone wants to hang on that but it was not proven in the fact finding stage by the KHSAA's own investigator that actually gave the transfer his stamp of approval.:idunno:

So having a discussion with you all means I am dragging this out?? I didn't open this case back up, write a letter or anything else on this matter. Simply discussing it with you all. The fact in the matter is you don't like the fact that I am not being a Pro-Highlands on this topic.

Nice challenge!:lol: But NO!!! I will continue to post as much as I want on this topic and any other that I choose!

I agree. I dont like the fact that you are not pro-Highlands on this topic. I obviously wouldn't be debating with you on this subject if we agreed. I just want to know why you think a team should have 12 wins, pay $1500, and suspend the coach for 2 games for not doing anything. I just dont understand why there are consequences for not doing anything.

Our side arguement is dumb. You laugh at people for posting on this subject but right now you are one of the main posters. We both know that from earlier posts and that discussion doesn't need to be continued because it is off topic

1-4 are great questions. Unfourtunatly I do not have information on that. The only information is that Mitchell was deemed eligible in the end.

Your sarcasm is amusing early in the morning...

No matter what the courts officially ruled, most Non-Birds followers feel that they should not be given back those victories because they are tainted.

You avoided my question. You don't have an answer?

FWIW, I am NOT a Birds follower. As someone that is non-partial, I separate whatever the Mitchells did from what HHS did. Those are two entities with different responsibilities and should be addressed differently. I would say, too, that the motivation for each as regards the situation are different now.

Mike Mitchell is no longer a Bird. Their overall record does not affect him now. I would assume that his family has similar football loyalties now.

HHS is still HHS. They won 12 games that they can't claim, due to following a court order. I don't think that I am the only non-Bird that finds that ridiculous.

Additionally, so many on here want to uphold the KHSAA decision to strip the wins, in effect supporting the KHSAA decision. "Yeah, the KHSAA has spoken and HHS should follow the rules!" The same people then are questioning the KHSAA's decision that Mitchell was eligible. "The KHSAA didn't make the correct decision...the move was athletically motivated and the KHSAA dropped the ball."

Well...which is it? Is the KHSAA right or wrong in the situation? If we promote following what they say, why continue to question Mitchell's eligibility? If we feel that the KHSAA was wrong, why the ire at HHS for also questioning a decision? It seems illogical, unless some are letting their feelings affect their decision.

HHS fans easy question to answer: How long after the young man graduated from HHS did the family move out of Ft. Thomas?

HHS fans easy question to answer: How long after the young man graduated from HHS did the family move out of Ft. Thomas?

If I had the answer I would tell you but I honestly don't know. Although, it doesn't matter at this time because that part of the case is over.

HHS fans easy question to answer: How long after the young man graduated from HHS did the family move out of Ft. Thomas?

Yet, this question really has nothing to do with the issue of HHS being given back their 12 lost victories (what an oxymoron) that they lost due to following a court order regarding an issue (eligibility) that they (HHS) were in no position to make a ruling on.

True, to that point but to the point of passing the smell test which I think honestly is the bigger question in the minds of many in the Commonwealth, it is important!

Again making it legal and making it right isn't always the same thing. You can be totally legal in doing something but in the court of public opinion, well......and I can totally understands HHS not caring one bit about the court of public opinion but.......:idunno:

Come on HHS fans someone has to know when the family moved out of Ft. Thomas!

I know the KHSAA doesn't care about what the court has to say. They think they are the court.

HHS fans easy question to answer: How long after the young man graduated from HHS did the family move out of Ft. Thomas?

I think this question came up about a year ago and at that time I believe the answer was they still lived in Fort Thomas. I can't be certain but I think they do.
