February 9, 201016 yr My daughter was suppoed to clean her room a month ago. She actually did that, but moved her "junk" into her brother's room who is away at college. My goal for her today is to REALLY clean that mess! She and I alone in the house alllllllllllll day. One of us may not survive! :scared: That right there is funny.
February 9, 201016 yr Except for the teachers that don't live in the city limits and have to brave the road conditions to get there. Wimps. Get rid of those tiny little vehicles and buy a 4 wheel drive truck. :walk:
February 9, 201016 yr I'd rather have my 16 or 17 year old inexperienced driver riding on a bus today than having him/her driving in these conditions? I know of a superintendent who held the position that the decision to have school or not was based on buses. Teachers and students driving to school were not to be considered while making the decision.
February 9, 201016 yr Much to my son's disappointment, Highlands has school today. It's a lot easier for them to have school with it being a city school and no busses (which alleviates a lot of liability concerns for the Superintendant in his decision making). They joked on channel 9 this morning that they should take all the school closings off the ticker and just say "Ft. Thomas Schools open...everyone else closed." I wonder if that had anything to do with any grumbling coming from a certain employee/mom.
February 9, 201016 yr Well me yours personally predicted that the snow would stick over night and we wouldn't get much of a brake like in the last snow storm and that the temps may not get abover freezing. Sooooo far I'm looking dead on, and my silent prediction of 6-7' seems right on. You must have listened to the same weather guys I did. They said pretty much the exact same thing.
February 9, 201016 yr It's a mess here in Nelson County. I dropped my car off to get it worked on this morning, but I'm skeptical as to when I'll be able to get back out to get it. The guy's driveway is hazardous, we found out this morning, and I'm sure it's only gotten worse since 8 a.m.
February 9, 201016 yr Here are a few shots I just took out the back door. The last one was actually taken before this latest snowfall.

JK I know you meant inches and I think thats about what we will get here in NKY.
February 9, 201016 yr Seems we've got virga in Eastern Kentucky right now... I know the radar isn't everything, but i'm looking at it right now and I just don't see us getting the 3-5 inches that is being forecast.. Let alone the overall 4-8 that was predicted from last night through tomorrow.
February 9, 201016 yr BF get us a picture of the first grader walking to and from school in a half a foot of snow and freezing temperatures.:D
February 9, 201016 yr One more. This was from three days ago. We have another 3-4" since last night's snow. You can see our bird house a little better in this one. Funny thing is, the day before the first snow hit, there was a little bird there, checking out the "property." Have a feeling he decided to take the bus back to Florida for a while.
