Growing up my parents would not let me listen to AC/DC.

 

I was coaching a girls basketball game at Villa Madonna and the music I was forbidden to listen to as a youth was being used as warmup music at a girls' (it was still girls only at that time, I think) basketball game at a private Catholic school.

 

Times had changed and I was officially old.

I'd like to see a We Are the World type of collaboration without the cheesy song.

 

Or better yet, use the duets format and mix and match contemporary singers with old timers.

How about Cheap Trick. One of my favorite live bands, crossed a wide spectrum from rock to pop, they were always very good live, and many of various ages would recognize their songs. They even have songs on Guitar Hero so even the younger kids would recognize some of their songs. And they are still around with the original members!
