I wouldn't have thought that could have been possible. They shot the lights out against Owsley Wednesday, especially from 3 point range. I know Owsley is not as talented as Murray, but still don't see how WV could be held scoreless in an entire quarter.

Walton deserved to lose this game. Didn't play well - Walton was down only 6 at half after battling foul trouble the whole 1st half. Then the wheels came off in the 3rd quarter. As previously stated Walton didn't score in the 3rd quarter, nor did they look to attack the basket at all. Murray had one team foul in the 2nd half, and that was in the last minute of the 4th quarter. They will need to regroup quickly with the Simon game only a couple days away.

I look for a let down for WV following the Class A. As history repeats itself for the ALL A schools. Typically when the team loses in the ALL A they struggle the remainder of the season. I look for Simon to win this game with ease.:dancingpa

Probably the worst game of the year for Walton. Only shot 23% for the game and was 2-18 from behind the arc. Dixon and Sandlin picked up two fouls in the 1st quarter and saw limited action during the remainder of the half. Team came out flat in the 3rd and it was over after that. I don't understand why their two leading scorers and rebounders (Dixon and Sandlin) only played about 3 minutes the entire second half. Both only had two fouls so that wasn't a factor. With them out, Walton couldn't attack the basket because there was no inside presence. They basically played with a four guard offense that was not able to score or pressure the ball on defense. With Dixon and Sandlin both sitting much of the 2nd half, Murray had their way inside and out. If a point was trying to be made by the coaching staff, IMO, I don't think the quarter-finals of the All A is the place to try to make it. Walton needed their leadership and presence and without it they were lost. Hopefully, they will rebound from this loss and finish the season strong. We will see. :confused:

When I saw the minutes played on the box score I had assumed either bad foul trouble or injuries.

I have no reason to second guess Coach Miller. I am sure he had a good reason for his actions.

I would guess that scratching their heads is an understatement. I bet some in the crowd were fit to be tied.

Not every parent and fan. Some of us support the coach and let him do his job. There is sometimes more that goes on than meets the eye from the stands.
