Highland's Grubbs out for season

Featured Replies

Tyler Grubbs and Highlands got the bad news this week that Tyler will miss the remainder of basketball season with an ankle injury.

He will recover over the next ten weeks and begin preparing for his football career at Miami U. in the Fall.

Good luck T..........sorry about your injury, we know how much you love your hoops! Loved to watch you play..... N. Ky will be wishing you a full recovery.

Oh man. I feel bad for Tyler. I know he loved bball. Good Luck at Miami big guy:thumb:

This is a big blow to the Birds but Tyler has bigger plans and we wish him the best of luck. Now the rest of the Bird Seniors need to step up their game and make a run ofr the title. Still plenty of talent on that team.

Sorry to hear about Tyler's injury. I enjoy watching him play. He is a force in the paint and is a threat whenever he has the ball in his hands. Best of luck for continued success in Oxford. :thumb:

Hate to hear that, hopefully he'll bounce back in time to be ready for football.

Good luck

Thanks for sharing Remmac . Sure hope he was not trying to keep things quiet until after signing day Feb. 3rd . :irked:

No clue what his stats are but this is a big loss for HHS.

He spoke with Miami coaches today...............they are not worried at all, just looking forward to getting him this Summer. They know they are getting a talented and mature young man.

Big blow for the Birds but they have enough depth in their front court with Watson, Dill, Smith-Keller and Stewart to make up for the loss.

Hope Grubbs has a speedy recovery.

I hate to hear about the injury! It seems Highlands has hardly been at full string for many games this year. Best wishes for a speedy recovery for Mr. Grubbs. looking forward to seeing him have a great college career!

Huge Loss for Highlands! He was a tough match up for Giesler. Now should NewCath and Highlands draw each other in the District opener, I think what was a toss up game, now becomes advantage NewCath.

Grubbs is a great young man and I'm really sorry to hear he'll be out. This is a young man who came to play the day after the football state championship. He has a tremendous personality, passion for basketball and is a beast in the post. I wish him the best at Miami!

Hate to hear about Tyler's injury. I know he hates missing his senior year in Basketball. From what I have been told about the injury, all should be fine. Just one of those pesky injuries that you just have to give it time to heal. Nothing serious or questionable as to whether it will effect his future.:thumb:

In a way this could be a postitve, however he was the spark for the birds on the court, this will allow him to get rest, work out more often, and get ready for a big season for the redhawks next year.
