Montgomery Co held to only 9 points the Entire first half!

Well you all knew something I didn't, :lol:

 

Defense, defense, defense, man did we play great defense. Score at the end of the 1st quarter was GRC 24 MC 7. At the half it was GRC 41 MC 9. MC only scored 2 free throws by Prewitt with 30 seconds to go in the half. GRC held them to no field goals in the 2nd quarter. End of 3rd was GRC 62 MC 20. For the 6th straight game GRC has held their opponent to under 50 points.

 

Robbie Stenzel had some wonderful passes tonight. Really saw the open floor. His defense was amazing. Zollo had 8 blocks and 15 rebounds the first half. Believe he was 1 block shy of a triple double. Rogers was a beast inside. He was 8-10 from the field.

 

GRC now has the #1 seed in the district, which will be played at GRC.

 

Big game tomorrow at Fairdale.

Mi Mi Bell was honored at half time. He graduated from GRC and now plays for the Miami Dolphins.

Defense is what we have been stressing since the Christmas tourneys.

 

Saw scouts from Mason, Scott and I think the others were Brossart at the game tonight.

NEVER even a game. Prewitt from Montgomery is going to be a nice player. Go Cards!! Tough schedule from here on out!

Too many good looks at the basket and coming away with nothing GRC played good defense, but wide open shots not falling.

Didn't see where Clark Co had any problem with the pressure issue.
