I think their quickness, depth, and overall athleticism will really wear SV down. Their press will force the Wildcats in to some uncharacteristic turnovers.

 

Should be fun to watch Hickey and Justice go at it though.

 

I believe Valley has a 53 game home win streak on the line in the game too.

Cant wait to watch this game. I see it going into the final minute. Both teams play hard and fast with two really good point gaurds. Throughout his career Justice normally has big games against teams who want to press SV so I will take SV in a nailbiter. The last team to beat SV at home was Lex Cath I think in 2004 when they were #1 in the state.

It's quite a week for Christian County ... wins over Hopkinsville and Bowling Green, then a Shelby Valley-Perry Central road trip.

Shelby Valley is a lot better team than you give credit for. You say Christian County is very quick but have you even seen Shelby Valley play because they are just as quick and are very athletic as well. I would say the teams are about even but I think Shelby Valley wins because it's at home.

That's the only advantage I'd give to SV. CC won't be allowed to play as physical defensively as SV...see the Miller Grove game for proof.

Does Christian County have the one starter back that has been out due to an injury? They lost a couple of close road games to Eastern Kentucky teams earlier this year and many thought it might have been due to this kid being unable to play. When they are at full strength they can be a serious challenge for any team in the state.

I saw them at the state tournament last year and was impressed. But they got the toughest draw of all in the first round when they went down to eventual state champs Holmes. That game was played at light speed.

Talked with someone close to the program and they said Hatfield injured his back in the Championship of the ALL A and has not practiced this week. I think he will give it a go tonight but it is going to be a see how it goes type of thing. Also Justice did not practice on Thursday because of tendonitis in his heel. Talked to one of the trainers who said yesterday it was swollen. Horrible timing with this game coming up but I guess we will wait and see how it goes tonight.
