Rieger is absolutely a better player than Jolly...

Two boys who have entirely different roles. Zollo is 6'8" who has a good touch inside and out, rebounds well, blocks shots and plays with a lot of enthusiasm . Stenzel is 6'4"does a good job handling the ball, makes good passes, both entry or open court, shoots well and has good moves to the basket and usually draws the opponents best offensive player and makes good decisions. Very hard to compare the two.

 

All rankings of this type are subjective and your pick as the number one player in the region would be?

Stephen Mason from St Patrick has to be in the top 10, any list without him is not close.

 

Agreed. They don't get much more consistent than Stephen Mason. Puts up numbers every night no matter who they play

Blueford is a solid role player and has stepped up for Mason County with all their injuries. However, that doesn't make him a top-10 player.

Is the name spelled Bluford or Blueford. I know some Blufords that live in Maysville.

In my opinion....I think there are some players on your all's lists that are good players, but not good enough to be top ten. For instance, the King boys are good. However, neither of them would start for Clark County. Campbell from Nicholas is a good player. Would NOT start for Clark County. I've seen almost every team in the tenth play with the exception of Augusta and Silver Grove. Here is my list.

1. Jaylen Daniels- Will be best College player of all these guys. (Can't wait to hear the groans and moans about this one)

2. Vinny Zollo - Much improved from last year

3. Robbie Stenzel- So many good players on his team takes away the spotlight.

4. Jacob Reiger- Can do a little of everything.

5. Treg Setty- Will be good one day.

6. Corey Rogers- On some nights, the best player in the region.

7. Travis Purvis- Flying under the radar. 6'7" and can stroke it.

8. Kellen Smith- Has Scott winning.

9. Malcom Thomas- Out of control. Very athletic.

10. Aaron Jacobs- Paris sophomore. 6'5. Averages a double/double. (Saw him play against Bourbon and Montgomery. He's tough.)

Neal Pawsat should definitely be in the top 10 players. Hopefully he will return soon! Justin Lang as well as Rhuben Bluford have certainly proven their ability to play basketball this season. Justin is the hardest working player MC has. He never gives up and plays till the last second on the clock!

I would have to agree with Plato on this one....

Jake Niederregger's 30+ point performance against Campbell the other night should seperate him from Jolly. IMO.

Thank you, both of you, for further emphasizing my opinion. Being that he is Clark Co.'s sixth man, he is still better than most players in the region. I indeed said that some of the people rated could not start at Clark. I truly believe their 1 through 6, with exception of the little point guard, are top ten players in the region.

I agree with you that Zollo, Stenzel,Cory Rogers, Purvis and Daniels are all top 10 in the region. Just glad to see someone else sees it. :thumb:

Of course you would, coming from Winchester, why would anyone expect anything less. First three I could see putting to the list.
