Newark, I remember you. Bama hater. Do you follow football? Bama has their QB/Two RBs/Three wideouts/TE/lose one lineman/ On "D" we do lose two LBs/Three DLs/One DB PK Punter. Defense is easier to replace than Offense. and we have experince in there. Hope this gives a little insight, we also have two backup QBs wanting to play and Greg will be pressed. Coach Saban will play the best player. PM me and I will give you our recruituing info, it looks the best so far in Coach Sabans time here.

 

Getting off my help to the posters, the Horns have quite a few players back and a lot depends on how many kids leave early for all the schools.

Me liking a team or disliking them has nothing to do with who I think should start number one if it did I WOULD HAVE SAID OHIO STATE.

Ohio State has a few big guys left who could choose them.

-Seantrel Henderson- Most people's #1, with Carroll possibly going to NFL, OSU has to be even more of the favorite. ND, UF, and surprising the U round out his final 5.

-Latwan Anderson- 4/5 star DB from Glenville. Will be a Buckeye if he gets the grades, WVU if not IMO.

-Jordan Hicks. One of the best LB prospects ranking wise in the country. 5 star prospect. Longshot for the Bucks though, even though he's instate. Most figure UF or Texas.

-Shariff Floyd- a big time DT prospect most have with either OSU or UF.

 

And a bunch of other guys they are decently high on the list for. Also, recruiting rankings for CFB are kind of garbage. Alot goes into it IMO, such as who the player is favoring, and if they are uncommited or not. It's a business and they want people to read IMO. Star rankings really don't mean a whole lot. Trust me man, I'm a Canes fan and have been burned alot by highly regarded classes and prospects. Bucks will have a very good class and could end up with the best player in the Class according to many experts.

Not recently...he is either a Notre Dame or OSU fan.

I know that it is very early to start prognosticating about this, but the season is officially over and the time is good as any to start thinking about next season. If everyone comes back for Alabama, I would think they have to be the favorite to start the season at #1, but what about the other schools that are still in contention for the national championship?

 

Here's my preliminary top 10 for next season:

 

1. Alabama

2. Ohio State

3. Oregon

4. Virginia Tech

5. Boise State

6. Georgia Tech

7. LSU

8. Miami

9. Florida State

10. Florida

 

I agree gat it is way too early as well but I am along the same line of thinking as you on the teams, just some in different order. I'll go with......

3. Boise State (probably won't be this high but should be imo....21 starters back(I believe) from a team that has lost one game in two years)

6. Texas (Texas doesn't rebuild, they reload)

There isn't any Kool-Aid involved IMO, Boise State has played and beaten almost everyone they've came in contact with since Chris Petersen has been the coach. They beat Texas Christian this season-who everyone said was legit, and they beat a decent Oklahoma team in 2007.

 

:thumb: They (Boise) are no joke or "Kool Aid", they are for real an can flat out play football. As you have said, they beat TCU, also beat Oregon this past season and have proven themselves over and over. Alot of teams will not play them, especially at their place on a home and home contract.

How is Oregon ahead of OSU?

 

Both teams would have a year of experience; I think Oregon and Coach kelly will be better by season's end than Ohio St. I could be wrong, but that Rose Bowl wasn't a blow out. It could have went the other way. If they meet next year, I think it will.

 

BTW, I put Iowa twice, I meant to have Va Tech at 8.

Newark, buddy no reason to yell....which reminds me of a story a few years ago...

 

Went to the beach a few years ago and was walking and saw a bunch of college age young women coming toward me. Some had Havard shirts on and some had nothing on their tops. I stopped and said "I see some of y'all goes to Harvard, but where do the rest of you go, they looked at me and said Yale! I looked at them for a second and said WHERE DO THE REST OF Y'ALL GO TO SCHOOL? :idunno:
