Not from GRC posters. If so show me and I will stand corrected.

We will get better, but as I stated before we will take some lumps this year with the schedule we play. The games were not blowouts that we lost, all were in reach of winning. Showes we are right up there with the top teams in the state.

Right up there with the other teams in the state? Really? It shows me that GRC is probably right up there with the fourth or fifth best teams in the 7th Region and shouldn't be rated in the state's Top 10.

GRC has a good team, but not a state title or even final four-type caliber of a team. Just can't win the big games.

Give me a break. Mason has played tougher schedules than this over the past 10 years. Lofton and company played and won these games during their title runs and the same goes for the Darius Miller led Royals. The years when Mason was a serious title contender, they were winning the Holiday tournaments, not getting beat in the consolation brackets. If GRC considers themselves true State title material, then they must start winning some of these games. Yes it is only December, but that excuse is about to come to an end. Clark is still the favorite to win the 10th region but Mason is starting to slowly close that gap.

There may be four or five 7th Region teams in the top 10 ...

Should be something like this:

1 Ballard

2 Scott Co

3 Trinity

4 Jtown

5 Holmes

6 Eastern

9 Seneca

I agree, the 7th is loaded.

Man is that region going to be a war to come out of. The only team on this list we won't be playing in tourney's or regular season is J-Town. We have Scott Co and Ballard coming up on regular sechedule.

There will soon, if not already, be an argument for Fern Creek and Moore to join the top twenty.

Oops! Forgot Male. Oh, man!!!

Just out of curiosity do you have to win December tournaments to win the Sweet Sixteen? How many of the teams that won these tournaments in the past have gone on to win the State championship. As I stated before GRC was not beaten by much in any of these games and can compete with anyone! :ohbrother:

It has been a tough stretch of close games for GRC against top teams and they have been competitive but it is now time to start winning some of these type games which I feel they will. They need a few games against some teams besides the 7th region's to get some wins and "mojo" back. Nothing like a few wins to get things back on track.

We have 3 games this week. Away at Bourbon on Tuesday, Shelby Co home on Friday and then Lexington Christian away on Saturday. Tuff schedule this week.

I would expect Clark to win the first two but Lex Christian will be tough coming off their upset of Scott Co.

You would think that Louisville would produce the state champion year in and year out with all of this talk about how much better they are than the rest of the state. The last I checked they have produced 1 champion in the last 10 years.
