Deming won't be winning many games, All A or otherwise without Caldwell and Earlywine in the lineup. As good as the King's are, these losses of late for Deming prove teams win games, not individuals.:thumb:

I wouldn't be too hard on the Devils, especially on the last few losses, and considering the injuries?? Newport is a very good 8-1 team with their only loss to state power Covington Holmes, Brossart is off to an excellent start, and Nicholas seems to be a 10th region All "A" contender.

I'm with All In no matter the quality teams they play 2 individuals aren't going to win against anyone.

Newport handed it to Deming last year. Newport is greatly improved from last year, and I think Deming is not quite as good as last.

Agree as well!! Newport much improved, and Deming misses the big man Grause in particular, who's moved on to Berea.

Didn't Newport just handle Highlands something like 60-38? No real shame in Deming falling by a similar score - Newport has a very nice team.

Deming was just overmatched. There was no shame in their performance yesterday. One or two guys do not make a team, but in a school the size of Deming losing two of your starting five hurts. Deming needs all of their players on the floor. That includes the Kings, Collins, Stitt, Schalch, and Pilosky as much as Caldwell and Earlywine. The Kings are not the team as much as Deming is not a complete team without them. Each person has a role whether it be scoring, defense, rebounding, etc. They all need each other to put together the wins.

This gym had better lighting than the High School gym.

No surprise here. Newport is a very good team with a lot of athleticism and Deming is simply a two man team with the King boys.
