In all seriousness here. You sound as if you are very close to the situation. Are you saying that if ND would offer Miles that he would not accept because of how Kelly left UC. Are we talking about the same team? Notre Dame in South Bend IN. 20n10

After witnessing defeats to both Highlands and SK this year, I think that Simpson is a better college prospect than Collinsworth. Don't get me wrong Collinsworth is great, but IMO, Simpson is just a tad above #22 at this point.

 

At Running Back? Yes, you are correct.

 

Collinsworth volunteered to play their this year as their was a void at that position for the team and he decided to fill it as it would give their team the best chance at winning. Collinsworth's true position is at WR and thats where Kelly plans on using him for the forseeable future. Collinsworth has much better hands than Simpson at this point. I persoonally believe that Collinsworth is the better prospect at this point but that is extremely debatable and I'll be the first to admit that.

People doubting what I said clearly have not known Miles. He is different than most kids. He looks at more than just how much the scholarship he is getting is worth and other things. Therefore that is exactly why I don't feel he will end up a ND even if offered.

 

He also loves his parents to be there to cheer him on which is why he is not considering some of the schools further away and would probably go with UK or Indiana.

I am not for sure as a ND scholarship and education is very hard to pass up if offered, but that is the notion that I got about the situation today.

Unless Miles has a relative or very very close friend that plays for UC and is upset with Kelly leaving then I have a hard time thinking he turns ND down. :confused: and even then an offer from ND gets turned down probably what do you say Domer 1 out of 100 offers. 20n10

So your telling me ND gets 99% of the recruits they offer a scholarship? I'd put a whole lot of money on the fact that you are wrong and NO school in the nation are 99%.

These are very good qualities of this young man as I have heard. But cmon, a 5 hr drive to South Bend to watch your son play for the Irish has its rewards and its not just about the hoopla as you pointed out before that Miles is not about, its has qualities like honor, tradition, respect, etc, etc, etc. I am not trying to recruit the kid or tell him where to go to school but the other two schools that you have mentioned dont warrant a turn down of a ND scholarship. I just dont see him turning Kelly down if indeed he is offered. You saw how quick Collinsworth jumped at the offer and he had some of the teams you are mentioning beggin him to come to their schools, its a no brainer my man. :idunno:20n10

Yes, 99% of the Fish Eaters that they recruit they get. J/K, No, they dont get that many, I should have clarified myself, they probably get 99% or better yet 100% of 2 and 3 Star recruits they offer and I think that is probably correct. 20n10

Hopefully we hear a decision soon, teams can only wait so long before they turn to another player.

FYI, That wasnt the reason Gino turned ND down. He turned it down because they wouldnt let his Dad , Dave "the original guru" bunk with him in South Bend.:banana:20n10
