I call this the 'Kroger' forecast. Grocery and retail stores calling in the weather reports for that extra push for Christmas profits. Would bet this will not only amount to no snow,but very little rain as well. On forecasts more than 2-3 days out, weathermen average about 1% right year after year. The only time we ever get anything significant is when it sneaks up on us. Get so tired of all the missed forecasts in the winter time year after year.

Apparently EKY is going to get hammered. Middlesboro and Harlan around 10 inches of snow this weekend!!!

 

I think Lex is in the 2-4 range with NKY in the 1-3 range. But the map is trending westward which would mean good things for people wanting snow in Central Ky.

I think there is potential for a bigger snow event around Christmas Eve to Christmas day.

Not this trip, though I love all 3 of those, especially The Canyons.

 

This trip is Alta (one of my favorites of all-time), Snowbird, Brighton and Solitude.

Hate snow... Have a 40 mile drive to work and can't afford not to go at this point. If this happens, I'll just be hoping for the best.

Gunner forecast says it is going to stay too warm here for snow. Rain with an outside chance of a slushy snow. Less than 1 inch.

Guess I wont be going to Paintsville/Prestonsburg or Pikeville Monday for work.

Staying in SLC. We have free shuttle service each day to the slopes. I usually stay near the base (ski in/ski out) when I ski, but we are skiing multiple locations AND Mrs. TTC will be shopping a couple of the days we're there so SLC is a better option this trip.:thumb:

Where's the snow in Northern Ky? As usual when anything gets close to the Ohio River it just shuts down and either turns to rain or freezing rain but never snow. Hazard and those areas get all the good snow

We're supposed to start getting some snow by 10pm. They say 1 - 2 inches by 4pm tomorrow, you can bet it'll be closer to 1 inch. :irked:
