For example, here's a list of some movies from the 1970s: The Godfather The Godfather Part II One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest Star Wars Apocalypse Now Taxi Driver Alien Chinatown The Sting Jaws Annie Hall The Deer Hunter Paper Moon Network The Exorcist The Last Picture Show Patton Rocky All The President's Men Young Frankenstein The French Connection Deliverence Blazing Saddles M*A*S*H I enjoyed the Lord Of The Ring Trilogies and a few other movies of the 2000s, but the number of memorable films in the year 1939 alone is probably greater than the entire 2000 decade. Just my take on the subject.

December 16, 200916 yr I hate these lists because Im a big comedy guy and comedies get no love on these lists. That is because comedies tend to be formulaic drivel, nothing new or groundbreaking. Most tend to be forgettable. There are a few comedies that manage to be outstanding movies but the problem is doing them properly to be more than just brain candy is a challenge for many. Besides it is cheaper to do them as cookie cutter crap, higher return on investment.

I had a hard time leaving this off, but it could probably replace Talladega Nights. The only reason I put that on there is because I have never laughed harder in a movie theatre, then it got old quick.
