UofL has now got 4 commitments tonight, and one transfer from Iowa.

 

Devante Parker, Jamon Brown and Jerrell Moore (all from the city) have committed for the 2011 class. That gives UofL 4 city prospects that have verballed in that class.

 

They also received the verbal from speedster from FLA, Corvin Lamb.

 

Word is Zack Stoudt is transferring to a JC too. Busy day for Strong.

 

I go out to dinner and a movie with the girlfriend and Charlie Strong gets busy. I'm impressed with the commitments, I really think signing Lamb shows we'll be a spread team he's built like Demps, so I'm excited I wish the season would start tomorrow. Stoudt, he just never got a chance on the field you think with all the injuries they would see what he could do, but that was Kragthorpe's decision. Oh well all in all a good day any idea when he'll name the coaching staff?

I know he's hired a strength coach. Mike Sanford is rumored to be the OC. I think it will all be officially named by the end of the weekend.

I haven't seen alot of stuff on the Lamb kid, but if it's who I think he is, I like him. He's got a chip on his shoulder coming in, as earlier in the year he thought Miami should have offered him because he's from Miami NW. He's coming from a football factory so he should be a good player for the Cards.

There's suppose to be alot of really good ones, but there aren't enough 'ships to go around from the Florida schools. Just a gut feeling, I haven't really heard anything about it though.

Michaelee Harris was who I was thinking actually. He was suppose to be a Miami lean, but he had a couple of interviews last week where he said he was worried about not getting early PT at the U. U of L could offer that IMO, and though he's not the fastest guy out there he looked good the few times he's been on TV. If he doesn't go to Miami, I would love for him to go to U of L. I really want Strong to do well now that he isn't a Gator.

This would be very interesting, and could certainly be a possibility.

Surely he is good enough to get a scholarship at UK? Either way, I'd like to have him UofL.

They are getting near the end of their rides, and have been zeroing in on some kids...plus that is the word recruits they are actively recruiting are saying when asking about Green

Don't forget he really burned Joker coming out of high school. Not sure of all the details surrounding that, but either he or his father really burned Joker and UK.

Not sure if they would want him as a RB or DB, but they already have had quite of few DB's commit.

What is intriguing to watch is if CRB goes through with retirement, then Joker gets moving. He may very well bring in Wesley McGriff who is now at The U. The U is in on a few big time prospects, and McGriff is the main guy that brought Storm Johnson the 4 star RB out of GA to The U. Johnson is a mid-year enrollee. UK was right there for Johnson...and that could be a reason why they are not going to give Green a scholarship.

Big weekend for the football team. A lot of recruits will be on campus for official visits.
