BK Calls Team Meeting?

Featured Replies

I love how information gets twisted. The team was told to assemble at the Linder Center lobby at 4:30 for transportation to the banquet. At this point no team meeting has been called...

 That's about on par for most of what we've been hearing lately with all of this.

Thanks for the info. You have to love when everyone wants to get a story and they want to be the first to report it. Very frustrating. I hope BK stays, do I think he will no but as a UC fan I hope he does.

So Jim Kelly is to blame?

We'll know by tomorrow at noon. No way this goes on past then.

This just showed up in my email...

CINCINNATI (AP)?The University of Cincinnati has barred the media from its annual football banquet, where coach Brian Kelly is expected to tell players about his talks with Notre Dame.

The university changed its media plans Thursday afternoon, a few hours before the banquet. Kelly interviewed with Notre Dame officials this week about becoming Charlie Weis’ successor.

So did he interview today? Remember according to him he was only in NY for a banquet Tuesday.

I listened to his interview on Cunningham and in no way did I think he said BK called a team meeting. He said he will meet w/ the team before the banquet and if he had to guess it would have to be brought up.

If it happens before 6:15 I will. After that I will be at US Bank for UC/Miami...

There are quite a few people that think he didn't formally interview at all. They asked if he was interested. He asked how interested ($) they were. I highly doubt it was a competition. They had been turned down too many times to get turned down again and he had too much power to "interview" without being offered the job. I'd guess he told them he'd be interested and they said they would. They aren't asking him what offense he plans to run and what his ideas were of a base D.

The two sides met yesterday in NYC before BK flew back to town...

I have no doubt they met. I just don't think either were in a position to formally interview. BK was the highest guy left who may actually want the job and they both knew that.

I'm truly glad he met yesterday and not last week because if it had been last week and he had "lied" to all of us and more importantly his players then I wouldn't want him to stick around anyway.

 So you are saying if he decided to stay and then told everyone he met with ND last week you wouldn't want him?

No one around UC would want him out just because he lied about his personal career.
