The recent 'ClimateGate' revelations coming out of the UK University of East Anglia are but the tip of a giant iceberg of a well organized international climate warming conspiracy that has been gathering momentum for the last 25 years. As a result, the court said, the EPA had not only the power but the obligation to regulate the gas. (In that case, Massachusetts v. EPA, the Bush administration was fighting against regulating carbon dioxide from vehicle tailpipes.)

Congress has delegated its power to the EPA to make the air "safe" under the Clean Air Act. It is up to the EPA to determine what standards it should enact.

 

Seems to me like the biggest issue is that, if the EPA enacts the new legislation (which they're allowed to do), they wouldn't be able to offer any tax benefits. Basically, the EPA only has enough power to control the actual standards. If Congress gets involved, they can give incentives and other types of financial benefits that would create an incentive-based program and make it more likely to succeed.

 

So, to sum up, the EPA is saying that they need to take some action, but Congress is in a better position to make it succeed. If Congress doesn't take action, the EPA will.

It is obivious that some do not have an understanding of the free market and how it works, the Constitution or freedom itself. I believe in our system, but not when it is twisted out of shape as a "living document" as they did in Animal Farm.

 

I am for a clean environment, but not at the expense of freedom. Some will follow someone like Obama because they believe he thinks like they do, but are oblivious to his true intentions. Just as some Germans followed Hitler, because he said things that they wanted to hear. They did not realize were Hitler was leading them until it was too late.

 

I do not believe Obama wants to be absolute dictator, but he wants the government to make decicions that should be left up to individuals.

You do realize that the Supreme Court made that ruling BEFORE Obama was in office don't you.

 

I would also venture to say that you are not up on your Hitler history . . . there was no PLAN that he had when he got started. The plan evolved as he gained more power and became more Machiavellian.
