I really don't believe Tim will win the Heisman this time. He has not been the best player in football this year IMO, though his team is having their best year (so far) of any of his years.

In my mind he wouldn't be better than Tebow, but he is definitely one of the five best quarterbacks since 1980.

 

I will give the nod to Tebow though, he's broken some records many thought would never be broken. And also, Colt McCoy will have only won his first conference title, if they play Florida, that means that Tebow started and won two conference titles and contributed to another. Because the SEC is such a tough conference for any team to repeat as conference Champion, I give him the nod there.

 

McCoy has the records for wins as a quarterback, but he started for four seasons, Tebow only started three, and lost five times in three seasons. And something else to take into account is that Tebow has 2-possibly 3-Maxwell Awards, which sometimes indicates the better player than the Heisman winner. If Colt does win the Heisman this season, he will have won his when he deserved it, I don't think Tebow deserved the Heisman in 2007, he may have last season, but just as strong of a case could be made for McCoy.

 

I'll take Tebow, but wouldn't have a problem with someone arguing for McCoy.

I don't think being robbed from a Heisman is an argument though, Tebow, Bradford, and McCoy were all just as deserving of the Heisman last season. Any one of the three could have won it and I woudn't haven't argued.

Ya but it's a fact that every writer with a vote in Big 12 states left Tebow completely off their ballot. Tebow received more first place votes than the other two combined last year, but thanks to getting no votes in Big 12 country he didn't win.
