Featured Replies

For those of you who missed the last one...look up. I have seen the ring numerous times, but it's still pretty cool.

Didn't see it the first time, so thanks for the heads up!

I didn't realize it was so big. I was hoping it would be closer to the moon so that I could photograph it.

I tried to take a few pictures of it last time and none of them turned out well. I doubt I have your technology, but I was still disappointed.

To actually capture it, you'd have to have an extreme wide-angle lens, and with that you would lose so much detail you'd barely be able to tell what it was in the photo. Plus, in low light you'd have to go to a higher film speed, which means even more detail loss.

Sure would be nice to have the equipment that could render that shot properly. :D

I get the impression that many folks rarely look up. I've probably seen a lunar halo a couple or three times a year for many, many years.

Wow very cool! Thanks for sharing!

That was very cool kind of looked like Saturn.

In others' defense, I've walked at least one dog at least once a day after dark for at least 14 years.

I'm glad to hear I wasn't hallucinating all these years. :thumb:

That is, unless you were too.
