Great football game. Magness was the difference in this one. With him, Central didn't have an answer defensively. Without him the young back up threw a pick inside his own 10 and turned it over twice on fumbles...however, he played a very gutsy 2nd half after he calmed down. Losing Magness also really hurt defensively...he's a wale of a linebacker. Not sure Central could stop HC with Magness, but we'll never know. Congrats to Central, they had to earn this one. Good luck against PT. Cats are in good shape going into next season, another year of maturity will make this team a contender in a year.

Wasn't Johnson the back up QB a Senior? I thought he played well, other than the fumble on the center exchange.

Yes they finished with a freshman quarterback in the game. Chris King was out already and Diaz Bolden took a shot from what the paper said that knocked him out and a freshman finished the game for them. It's awful to hear a player go down especially one that brings so much to the table for Henry, I would love to see this game with both teams full strength it would of been a classic. I hope Magness comes back stronger than he was before, a joy to watch when we played them.

He is a sophmore.

Central has a load of talent they were able to reload. #5, really was the thing that put this game in Centrals favor, without 3 of his catches HC had the run snuffed well on those drives. #5 made some catches with great coverage on him and not the best throws. He will be a great player on the next level. I thought both teams showed alot of respect and class during the injuries, especially to the HC kid.

 

Henry played as a team and they lost as a team each phase had their share of great plays and letdowns! The kids never gave up and the staff took chances at the end.

Without Magness, Henry had to be really one-dimensional. Magness brings tremendous talent to the table as a QB with his arm and his legs. With him they can stretch you all over the place. Central is a good ball club, but the run will end IMO this year.

Henry struggled in the 2nd quarter, their back up QB is a sophomore and his cage was a little rattled-not able to throw the ball with much effectivness until the 4th. Once he settled down, HC was able to move the ball up and down the feild. Central's D is nowhere near what it was a year ago (without Patterson they are average at best). Robinson never got behind the HC defense, balls were under thrown and he was able to make a play. He can run, but HC's #2 was with him stride for stride when they did go with a spy coverage on him. Best of luck to Central.

Central will win it all, they may be suspect on Defense but no one will run with them.

Central just keeps finding away to win with all of the injuries racking up.

This is a true sign of a champion. They played a total of 10 freshmen according to their roster. If this is supposed to be the Central team that is not as good as years past, then you better look out for the future. Playing all of these young guys only make them tougher. There is about 8 of the seniors who have played in over 45 games. Experience is one thing that the Jackets have.
