Why, because he had swine flu? Until Kobe Bryant retires, this guy shouldn't even be mentioned. At least both Magic and Bird won NBA championships. The Kobe/Lebron rivalry (which isn't really a rivalry, because Lebron knows better) is all one sided.

 

Wouldn't you also say that Magic, Bird, Kobe all had better supporting casts that LeBron? You're throwing out three guys who have played with HOF players who were in the primes of their careers. LeBron has played with one, Shaq and he's far from his prime. Outside of that he played with a very young Boozer, a 1-time All-Star (alternate) Mo Williams, and a 2-time allstar in Big Z. LeBron and Kobe are considered the two best players in the league, LeBron is 25 and has plenty of time to collect some rings. If he's 32 and still hasn't won one then maybe I can see the argument. Legacy wise, IMO, it's a no brainer Kobe is better. But, Kobe's book is nearly written, LeBron's is still getting in to the good parts of the story. Skill and talent wise, I don't see how one is that much better than the other.

That's ridiculous. He had one of the greatest individual playoff performances all time against the Magic last season. He played great and made some huge plays, including "The Big Shot" of last years playoffs. Sure he played bad in game 6, but anyone's going to get tired after the games he had up to that point. Cavs got beat because Big Z couldn't guard Howard, DWest couldn't guard Turkoglu, and Varajao could only dream of staying with Rashard Lewis. None of that is LeBron's fault, he can't make Delonte taller, Varajao quicker or Big Z younger. I don't have a problem with saying that he needs a title, but it's not like he isn't a big time clutch performer.:idunno:

 

He took a team of scrubs to the finals for crying out loud. Daniel Gibson was the 2nd best player on that team that played San Antonio what does that tell you? Kobe didn't take Kwame Brown and Caron Butler to an NBA Finals did he? If you don't like LeBron or if you think he isn't as good as Kobe that is fine, but I don't see how you can discredit him so easily. :idunno:

Are you telling me that the 2007 Cavs should have even gotten to the NBA Finals? Outside of LeBron that's probably one of the worst rosters to even win a playoff series in the modern era. Kobe gonna take down the Spurs with a line-up like that? Doubtful, especially at 22 years of age, which LeBron was.

If you were running in his circle, you'd love him. I know I would and I'd be just as cocky as him....for no reason other than he is my friend and knows my first name. I'd happily play the role of Turtle in his entourage. :ylsuper:
