I hope to see McCreary continue to move forward. Hopefully they can find someone similar to Coach Mills at Knox who was a local boy who has reversed KC's fortunes. They need to hire someone who will have the community's support whether they are from the present staff or they are somebody they are bringing home like Mills at KC.

I think Justin Bozman has head Coaching Exp. Jamie Payne has been Coaching a long time, no Head Coaching Exp. Mark Jones has worked under two different Head Coaches, no Head Coaching Exp. Matt Stiltner has coached a long time in Tenn. no Head Coaching exp. I think I know where you want to Go. Why not Come out and say who you think should have the job.:deadhorse:

Bozeman is one of the best Def. Coaches around, more to running a total program than Def. Whoever get,s the job would be wise to keep him on staff.

Well he did go out on a positive note winning District Coach of the Year.

If your observation is true, I guess Rob will resign also, his two boys will be gone. Watts and Roark will be next to impossible to replace. There are some good young kids coming up in McCreary program and whom ever they hire will have some kids to work with. Good Luck to all Raiders and their Staff.:clap:

 

Thought Watts and Roark are huge for the basketball program, it will be much easier to replace them in basketball, compared to football. The style McCreary runs in basically can make for a good team. They have always been good shooters, and that comes with practice.

 

The football team was very reliant on Watts and Roark because they had a hand in 99% of the offensive scores, and some on defense as well. It might be a different situation if Watts was a WR and Roark was the 2nd string back or another less amplified position.

 

I hope nothing but the best for the football program. They can be "consistent" the next few years, but they don't (that we know of) have big play potential players like they had in Watts and Roark. However, that doesn't mean that some won't come out.

There are some playing now. Just have to be developed. Tyson williams 6'5 235 can be a very good skilled player. Dylan Barnett 5' 11 165 lbs can be a very good QB. Dustin Goins 6' 165 will be one of the best WR around. The Dople kid has a lot of speed and good hands. Noah duncan will make a nice player. The big Fr. Tackle that stepped in a the end of the year will be a nice player. John Taylor and Larry Sammons have good speed. Storm Stevens will make a nice player. The future is not all gloom and Doom at McCreary Central.This is where all the hard work Coach Payne and Coach Jones did in the off season last year is so important this year. I saw where someone said they would hire a Coach by Spring Practice. TOO LATE, The Wt. Room work can't waite until March. I'll bet money Rock, Knox and Madison So. are already lifting.:idunno:

I'm not doubting that those aren't good players. They probably are, and McCreary probably has more good players outside of those two. The point being is that they don't have the explosive offensive players that they had with Roark and Watts. They'll be like a Kentucky team after losing Woodson/Burton/Tamme/Little - content. They'll try to manage the game and not make mistakes knowing that they don't have the "big play potential" they had with Watts and Roark.

 

And another thing, is Tyson that big? I knew he was a big boy, but I didn't know he was quite 6'5 yet...

They are both great players in both sports. Let's see 5 play in BB and 11 play in football. I guess what I'm trying to say without these 2 players BB would have a hard time beating Avg. teams much less being one of the best teams in the region. I'll go on and say they will Avg. over 50% OF THE POINTS SCORED THIS SEASON. I guess Basketball will have to cancle next season when these 2 Move on. I think Football will feel the pain, but believe me Basketball will feel the pain also. I just hope they hurry up and hire a Coach so whoever it is can start a WT. Program.
