Ole Miss 42 Tennessee 17

Featured Replies

Do you guys think that UK could have shut down Ole Miss? Not a chance! UT is struggling but they beat Sc a team that UK couldn't beat. UT beat Ga a team that UK won't beat. UT will beat UK for the 25 straight year.

UK won at Auburn... Auburn won at Tennessee.

See, we can play that game too :thumb:

I would bet Locke is just as fast as McCluster also.

Maybe without pads on. McCluster is a lot faster than people think you can't understand how shifty he is until you've seen it in person (and yes I've seen Locke in person). The key for McCluster is how quick he accelerates and how juking doesn't slow him down at all. He reaches top speed as quick as anyone I've ever seen.

I'll take McCluster in a race over Locke as well. Maybe the old Locke would hold his own though.

BTW HT721, I was happy for Ole Miss to get the win man. It's been a sort of disappointing season for them, and I know how much you like them. Here's to hoping they can win out man. :thumb:

I appreciate the love, I was pulling for your Canes against UNC. It's been a rough season in some ways, but in others not so much. I'm trying to be mature about it and tell myself that two years removed from Ed O's disaster 0-8 SEC season and his 10-25 record in 3 years we are 7-3 and 3-3 in conference after a 9-4 5-3 conference record last year. As much as I wanted more this year we have improved.

I honestly think last week showed a lot of improvement for us and helped me have hope that we are still moving the right direction.

Oh, I'm sorry...I thought we had to actually play the games before we could know the outcome...

I have been hearing that for 24 years what makes you think this year will be any different? Let me guess Compton is so bad bla bla bla. UT beats UK for the 25 straight season.

We? How many yards or touchdowns did you score against Vandy?

Trust me it can. If UK can shut down Hardesty and Brown like Ole Miss did in the second half they have a shot. UT can't run their offense doesn't work. Crompton doesn't throw downfield enough to just move the ball passing.

They might be able to shut down 1 but not both.

UT was a blocked field goal away from beating Alabama when UK got killed so I understand what your telling me but Alabama is lot better team than those other teams. Even though Compton is having a bad year I just don't see UK beating them. If they do you better get them this year because in the next couple of years watch out for the Vols!

No I don't, but my Ole Miss student ID makes me a tad bias. But like I said if UK can shut down the run they can win. Locke and Cobb aren't as fast as McCluster, but they are close and Ole Miss gave UK the formula to exploit UT. Monte Kiffin can't figure out the Wild Rebel, every time we ran it we gain at least 7 yards. UT's DE and LB's are also slow and often out of place and runs to the outside with fast players seem to really hurt them. Don't run up the middle on them but if you can get to the outside you can really exploit them.

I actually like Ole Miss. They are my fav second team in the SEC besides the Vols. I root for any SEC school against the Big Ten when they play.

We will watch out.... for our safety.

Shouldn't as big a UT fan as you are know your own quarterback's name? Its Crompton isn't it?

He asked several months ago why people hated UT so much....I think just spending the last 4 minutes reading his posts clear that up very well. Arrogance and ignorance...dangerous combination. Peace OUT.
