could some of the JH fans post some information about their team this year? They've had a spectacular season, and yet not too much has been written about them on BGP this year.

That's because teams around here beat each other up. There is a lot more balance here than there is on the east side, where your team has it easy all the way through. I think the Dawgs take the Bluebirds by two scores or more assuming Highland makes it that far.

 

Wild West, you gotta be from another state....I'm not sure John Hardin can beat their JV team. No disrespect to JH, they have a very good football team, but they probably can't beat Highlands...not even on their best day. Love to see them make a game of it though.:thumb:

Please confine your comments to the thread. This thread is about Oldham County and John Hardin.

Oldham's not getting much love on here.

John Hardin can be stopped, if Oldham is willing to make the adjustments to stop them. If all they do is run the wing-t, it requires the defense to stay home and not over pursue. Oldham has a good enough offense to compete, but if they do not make adjustments on defense then John Hardin will move on.

At this point, not surprising. JH is, after all, undefeated and ranked #2 in the state behind you-know-who.

 

I do think Oldham County - who is ranked in the top 10, by the way and has had a pretty decent season - will actually show up and play, despite what everyone thinks... :lol:

 

Seriously, the Colonels' defense is pretty good, as their 10-7 victory over Anderson County showed. The offense had to adjust after an injury to starting QB Joel Hennings at mid-season, but the Colonels are 6-1 since then.

 

It will be a tall order for the Colonels, but they play the games on the field and not on BGP. Good luck OC!

Oldham County will be by far the best team John has faced this season. As with last year, this one could go either way. One thing for sure is the weather will be nicer this year than last. Look forward to your visit...

If OC linebackers can keep up with the speed of Johns RBs and matchup with the speed of there receivers then they have a chance to win. OC will need to keep Johns offense in check in order to win because I don't think they'll be able to score that much on John. This is going to be a good though! LETS GET IT DOGS!!:popcorn:

I agree. Defense has been the forte of both teams...kind of hard to compare stats, because I think Oldham has had the tougher schedule, including 6A top 10 Shelby County, 6A top 10 Scott County, 6A "also-receiving votes" Conner, 6A Eastern, 5A top 10 Anderson County, and 4A top 10 Fairdale. But both teams have had great defensive play this year. The better defense wins this game.

Looking forward to coming down! I was just down there two weeks ago for the North Oldham - Etown game. If this one is as exciting as that one, it will be well worth the trip!

 

Last time I was at JH - a couple of years ago, can't remember if I was there with Oldham or South Oldham - it rained like crazy and they cancelled the game midway through the first quarter. Didn't think I was going to make it out of town; streets were closed due to the flooding... !
